Ishigaki Island faces the Pacific Ocean and East China Sea and has numerous beaches. Among them, “Sukuji Beach” is recommended for everyone including non-swimmers and families.
The shallow waters and gentle waves make for safe swimming, and safety nets have been installed to keep jellyfish away during the summer months.
The beach is also lined with mokumao trees, which contrast beautifully with the blue ocean, and visitors can spend some cool time in the shade of the trees.
Fun signs greet visitors at the beach, creating a peaceful atmosphere that anyone can enjoy. After passing through the greenery, the blue ocean opens up, making this beach enjoyable enough even if you don’t swim.
