The Sunshine Aquarium is an urban aquarium located 40 meters above ground on the roof of a skyscraper in the Sunshine City complex.
Visitors can see 23,000 marine creatures of approximately 550 species in carefully designed exhibits, including flying penguins that appear to swim in midair, a tunnel tank of jellyfish, and a large tank with vivid coral reefs and fish.
Based on the concept of an oasis in the sky, a healing space overflowing with greenery and water is created.
The Oocean Journey on the first floor is an azure space reminiscent of the inside of the sea. Visitors can see colorful coral in the “Sea of Coral Reefs,” which recreates tropical coral reefs and undersea caves, and in the “Flowers Blooming in Caves.
The floating jellyfish tunnel is fantastic, surrounded by fluffy jellyfish.
In the Sunshine Lagoon, which is designed to resemble the shallow waters of a tropical island, divers can be seen feeding and swimming with zebra sharks and large moray eels. There is also a hands-on event where visitors can enter the backyard and feed the animals.
The stairs are decorated with projection-mapped images of fish, a railing shaped like a wave, and natural sounds of the sea such as waves, making you feel as if you are in the sea.
In the waterfront journey on the second floor, the environment of rivers and lakes with lush greenery is reproduced, and visitors can see Amazonian fish and tropical fish.
The outdoor area, Marine Garden: Journey to the Sky, is dotted with plants and has an atmosphere reminiscent of a tropical resort.
Sea lions can be seen aquaring in a doughnut-shaped tank that makes them appear to be flying in the sky, a peach pelican in an overhead waterway, and a sea otter in a waterside-inspired environment.
In the “Penguins in the Sky” exhibit, penguins swim in an overhead aquarium, and the sky seems to be transparent, as if the penguins are flying through the air.
The outdoor area at night has a romantic atmosphere with lights and a night view of skyscrapers.
Visitors can observe rare creatures and experience elaborate events at the special exhibitions.
