On October 10, 2014, Hakkō no Sato Kozaki was officially registered as a roadside station.

From the beginning, it has served as a tourism and community hub centered on Kozaki’s fermentation culture. In addition to promoting local industries, the facility plays an important role in introducing the town’s food culture to visitors.

Selected as an Important Roadside Station

On January 30, 2015, Hakkō no Sato Kozaki was selected by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as an Important Roadside Station.

The selection recognized its role as a gateway for sharing Kozaki’s fermentation culture with visitors from Japan and abroad, as well as its convenient location accessible from both the Ken-O Expressway and national roads.

This designation further strengthened the roadside station’s role as a destination for tourism, local products, and regional exchange.

Parking and Restrooms

The roadside station provides a spacious parking area and restrooms for both visitors and local residents.

The parking area has space for 75 vehicles, including 23 spaces for large vehicles, 50 spaces for standard vehicles, and 2 accessible spaces.

There are 29 restroom facilities, consisting of 15 for men, 12 for women, and 2 accessible facilities.

Tourist Information and Event Plaza

An information facility provides useful information about nearby attractions and introduces the highlights of Kozaki Town and the surrounding area.
