A garden with a factory that manufactures Rokkatei’s “Marusei Butter Sandwich,” a museum, and a café on a vast 100,000 square meter site.
In order to realize the wildflower scenery depicted on Rokkatei’s flower-patterned wrapping paper, a wetland was regenerated, and a waterfront was revived in an isolated forest, and flowers and grasses were also revived.
The garden grows seasonal flowers and grasses such as Tokachi-Rokka (Ezo gentian, Japanese pears, Gentiana thunbergii, katakuri, Ezonorhynchus japonicus, and Shirane-aoi).
The confectionery factory blends in with the natural surroundings, and the galleries, which have been relocated from old Croatian houses scattered throughout the area, and the placem
The Rokkatei Forest is dotted with galleries that were relocated from old private homes in Croatia and used as art galleries in the vast natural environment, including the Naoyuki Sakamoto Memorial Museum, which exhibits works by Naoyuki Sakamoto, a painter who designed the wrapping paper for Rokkatei confectionery, as well as works of the Tokachi-Rokka and Tokachi mountains, and the Flower Pattern Wrapping Paper Museum, which has a mural on Rokkatei flower pattern wrapping paper.
A café is attached to the museum store, which sells confections and original goods.
Sculptures are displayed outdoors on the lawn, in the forest, and by the river.
Over a period of 20 years, a river flow was created on a wasteland, a waterfront area was revived around an isolated forest, and a green corridor was created around the waterfront area, where plants and flowers are growing from the stream and lush vegetation is growing.
