Shima Spain Village: Parque España is a theme park inspired by Spain, where visitors can discover Spanish culture through exciting attractions, distinctive restaurants, and shops. The park is divided into four themed areas: Ciudad (the Spanish city), Tierra (the Spanish countryside), Mar (the Spanish sea), and Fiesta (Spanish festivals). Each area offers a different atmosphere, inviting guests to enjoy the colorful architecture, lively entertainment, and cheerful spirit associated with Spain.
The Xavier Castle Museum is housed in an impressive, life-size reconstruction inspired by the birthplace of Francis Xavier, the missionary who first introduced Christianity to Japan. The carefully recreated castle provides a distinctive setting for exploring Spain’s history and cultural heritage.
Inside the museum, exhibits explain approximately 12,000 years of Spanish history and culture through valuable historical materials, films, and other displays. Visitors can explore the country’s development across different eras in an accessible and engaging way.
One of the museum’s highlights is a life-size replica of the prehistoric cave paintings of Altamira Cave, famous for its ancient depictions of animals. The reproduction carefully recreates details such as the way moisture appears on the cave walls. It is one of only three life-size replicas of these paintings in the world, making it a particularly noteworthy exhibit.
On the second floor, visitors can learn about the Age of Exploration through an exhibit featuring Christopher Columbus. The presentation introduces the culture and environment of the period, bringing the age of great ocean voyages to life and helping visitors understand the historical background of Spain’s overseas explorations.
