Later, in 1998, the hotel Kamogawakan successfully carried out deep drilling and discovered a new hot spring source. Development of the wider hot spring resort area subsequently progressed using this new source.
Nagisa-no-Yu was developed in 1998 through cooperation among the local ryokan and hotel association. A naturally occurring hot spring located approximately 10 kilometers from central Kamogawa was piped to the area.
The hot spring water was transported by tanker truck, allowing it to be supplied to a number of accommodation facilities in the city. This cooperative approach helped establish a shared hot spring resource for the area’s lodging businesses.
